1. Scope & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MMOCodeX website and all related services, including the MMOCodeX Navigator, game hubs, and any premium features (collectively: the "Service"). By creating an account or making a purchase, you accept these Terms in full.

2. Products & Digital Services

Digital Memberships Premium Access Navigator Features No Physical Goods

MMOCodeX exclusively offers digital products: time-limited Premium memberships and access to Premium features within the Service. No physical goods, in-game currency, game accounts, game items, boosting services, gambling mechanics, cryptocurrency, or NFT products are sold.

Purchasing a Premium membership grants access to additional features for the selected duration. Details of each tier are shown in the Shop.

3. Payment & Checkout

All purchases are processed exclusively via Paddle, our authorised Merchant of Record. Paddle charges your selected payment method, issues invoices, and handles VAT/sales tax in compliance with applicable law. MMOCodeX does not collect or store any payment credentials on its own servers.

By completing a purchase you agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (available at paddle.com/legal).

4. Membership Duration & Renewal

  • Memberships are sold as one-time purchases for a fixed duration (e.g. 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, 365 days).
  • No automatic renewal occurs unless you explicitly purchase a recurring subscription plan.
  • Existing Premium time is extended when an additional membership is purchased — it is not overwritten.
  • Membership access expires at the end of the purchased period. No refund is issued for unused time after expiry.

5. Account & Access

  • You must create an account to use Premium features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Sharing account access is prohibited.
  • MMOCodeX reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

6. Use of the Service

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: reverse-engineering, scraping, automated access beyond personal use, distributing premium content without permission, or attempting to circumvent payment.

7. Availability & Changes

MMOCodeX provides the Service on a best-effort basis and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Feature sets and pricing may change at any time. Material changes affecting active memberships will be communicated via the website or email.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MMOCodeX (Roger Thiessen) shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence remains unaffected.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If a provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

10. Cancellation of Memberships

Since memberships are one-time purchases with a fixed duration, there is no ongoing contract to cancel. Your Premium access simply ends after the purchased period. If you purchased a recurring plan, you may cancel at any time through your Paddle billing portal or by contacting postmaster@mmocodex.gg. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Privacy Policy

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the GDPR / DSGVO and applicable national law.

2. Data We Collect & Why

  • Server Log Files: IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, and request timestamp — collected automatically for technical operation and security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Account Data: Username, email address, and a hashed password when you register. Used to provide your member profile, Premium status, and Navigator features. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Purchase Records: Transaction reference, product purchased, duration, and activation timestamp — stored to manage your Premium access. Payment details themselves are held exclusively by Paddle. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Navigator Usage Data: Basic technical logs (app version, update check requests) to support updates and bug fixes. No game telemetry or screen-capture data is collected. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Email Communication: If you contact us, your message and email address are stored solely to process and respond to your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Payment Processing via Paddle

Secure checkout powered by Paddle

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (registered in the Republic of Ireland, acting as Merchant of Record). When you purchase a membership, you are directed to Paddle's secure checkout. Paddle collects and processes payment information (card details, billing address, transaction data) directly and independently. MMOCodeX receives only a purchase confirmation and the associated order reference.

4. Cookies & Technical Storage

  • Session cookies: Used exclusively to maintain your login session. Technically necessary; no consent required.
  • Preference storage (localStorage): Stores selected shop plan and creator codes locally in your browser. No server transmission.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
  • You may disable cookies in your browser settings; this will prevent login functionality.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data. Data is shared with third parties only to the extent necessary:

  • Paddle — payment processing and invoicing (Merchant of Record).
  • Hosting provider — server infrastructure; processes log data under a data processing agreement.
  • Google — if you use Google OAuth login, Google processes your authentication data per their Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Log files are retained for up to 90 days. Purchase records are retained for 10 years to comply with German tax law (§ 147 AO). You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Your Rights below).

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at postmaster@mmocodex.gg. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Refund Policy

Quick summary: Digital memberships are generally non-refundable once access is granted. We handle legitimate refund requests fairly — just reach out within 14 days.

1. Digital Products & Statutory Right of Withdrawal

All MMOCodeX products are digital services delivered immediately upon purchase. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal for digital content is excluded once the consumer has consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal — which is confirmed during checkout via Paddle.

By completing checkout you confirm that:

  • You request immediate access to the digital membership.
  • You acknowledge that the right of withdrawal lapses upon delivery of the digital content.

2. Refund Eligibility

Despite the above, we evaluate refund requests fairly. A refund may be granted in the following circumstances:

  • You were charged but Premium access was never activated on your account (technical failure).
  • You were charged twice for the same purchase (duplicate transaction).
  • A verifiable technical issue prevented you from using the service for the majority of your membership period and the issue was on MMOCodeX's side.
  • The purchase was made in error within a short window (generally within 24 hours) and Premium access has not been meaningfully used.

3. Non-Refundable Cases

  • Memberships where Premium access was fully delivered and actively used.
  • Requests submitted more than 14 days after the original purchase date.
  • Partial refunds for unused time at the end of a membership.
  • Purchases made with a creator/discount code that was intentionally applied.
  • Accounts suspended for violation of these Terms of Service.

4. Goodwill Refunds

We value our community. Even outside the cases listed above, we may grant a goodwill refund at our discretion for first-time purchases where access was barely used. There is no legal entitlement to goodwill refunds.

5. How to Request a Refund

Contact us by email with your request. Please include:

  • Your MMOCodeX account email address
  • The Paddle order reference / transaction ID (found in your Paddle receipt email)
  • A brief description of the reason for your request
